Solutions to some common issues in a Volvo

Annoying "high pitched moaning" sound for an extended period, which seems to come from the drive belt area and gets more intense and higher in pitch with higher rpm
This problem can be fixed by replacing your power steering pump and fan belt with an OEM power steering pump and fan belt. You can do this yourself, and will probably save yourself a lot of money

"Clunking" sound from window mechanism:
This sound may be caused by a washer missing, between the clip and the plastic slider (shaped like a tuning fork) in your door panel.

"Click" or "tick" noise coming from your dashboard?
If this noise is caused only while your AC is operating, then this sound is normal, and may is caused by the working of the damper motors of your AC

Other tips that will help your Volvo live longer:

• Change your fuel filter about every 30,000 miles. (2yrs)
• Change your spark plugs about every 30,000 miles also.
• Once a month check all your fluid levels (oil, transmission, coolant and steering fluid).
• Check deterioration of belts and hoses. Also look to see that the battery connections are tight and corrosion free.
• Change your Volvo oxygen sensor every 60,000 miles.
• Change your oil and oil filter every 3000 miles.

Most importantly, everytime you do need to replace a spare part, use only an OEM Volvo part, and have drive your Volvo, FOR LIFE!
